Google has started testing AI Mode for its search engine. This feature enhances search capabilities, allowing the system to process complex queries and provide detailed responses similar to chatbots instead of just displaying links.
How AI Mode Works
AI Mode is powered by the Gemini 2.0 language model. Unlike traditional search, it not only delivers results but also verifies and supports its answers to enhance objectivity. If the AI lacks sufficient information, users will be directed to relevant web pages.
Currently, the feature is available for users in the US on all platforms. To activate AI Mode, users need to click the designated button that appears alongside other search tools on the results page. The AI-generated response will be displayed at the top, followed by relevant web resources. Search history is also saved to improve the accuracy of future responses.
Google has not yet announced a public release date for AI Mode, notes NIX Solutions. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
