A Critical Need for Generative AI Expertise

In the official announcement, NVIDIA highlighted the critical shortage of generative AI developers and the need to enhance their skillsets. Generative AI is a rapidly evolving field with applications across various industries, including creative content generation, drug discovery, and materials science. As its adoption accelerates, the demand for skilled professionals who can develop and utilize this technology effectively is outpacing the current talent pool.

Equipping Developers for Success

The new professional certification program will offer developers a standardized way to demonstrate their competency and experience in generative AI. By successfully completing the program, developers can gain a competitive edge in the job market and showcase their proficiency to potential employers. NVIDIA plans to launch the program at the upcoming NVIDIA GTC developer conference, which will be held in San Jose, California, from March 18th to 21st, 2024. Participants at the conference will have access to recommended resources and materials to help them prepare for the certification exam, notes NIX Solutions.

“Generative AI has become a critical area that governments, organizations and industries around the world are looking to take advantage of,” said NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang. He further emphasized the importance of workforce development in this domain.

“Organizations across all industries need to develop an understanding of this world-changing technology,” said Greg Estes, vice president of developer programs at NVIDIA. “Our goal is to help advance the workforce, sharpen the skills of professionals and enable individuals to demonstrate their skills and gain a competitive advantage in the job market.”
